5 Ways to Improve Your ACT Score
ACT Prep classes can make all the difference.
Throughout the school year, we offer a variety of ACT Prep seminars. At times, we will come to a school's campus for the instruction, but many classes are available to the general public.
Individual tutoring sessions are also available year round. With a schedule that completes and thoroughly discusses a full practice test each week, students are sure to improve quickly. Content of sessions is designed for the specific student, allowing for quick review of easily grasped concepts and in-depth work on the more difficult ones.
In The News
1. Relax: One piece of good news is that your child has an advantage the second time around, simply because he or she has been through it before.
2. Take a class: Grant took an ACT prep class before his first test, but Lindsey did not, so she opted to take one between tests. It's impossible to know how much that class helped, but it certainly didn't hurt.

Why Summer Tutoring?
Sometimes summer school is inevitable and a student must attend due to poor performance during the year in a certain subject. But what if your student has performed well in school and you would like them to keep up the performance the next year?
What if you want your student to get some extra help in preparation for next school year? These are two very good reasons why a summer tutor would be a perfect choice.

Elementary age students often struggle in their first weeks back in school due to a loss of skills over the summer months. Don't let your young person's brain turn to mush during the summer. Regular tutoring sessions can help your child maintain his current skill level while building new study habits and skills for the coming school year. Bridge work tutoring includes a review of math and English content from the previous grade and supervised reading and discussion of grade-level novels.
Looking for some supplementary classes this fall? Mrs. Henry will be teaching at two locations: Open Door Bible Church, 1792 N. Parkway, Memphis, TN, and Bellevue Baptist Church, 2000 Appling Road. Visit our Classes page for more information on current offerings.
Many students need an extra boost beyond what they can get in the classroom. They may require a more visual approach, a more kinesthetic approach, or simply extra reinforcement. Other students reach a point in their homeschooling where Mom and Dad are not able to fully help. Sometimes another perspective is needed to help them break through to new knowledge. Whether math, English, reading, or history, Mrs. Henry is ready and willing to assist you and your young person.
Summer Bridge Work is the missing piece for student success.
